Writer, illustrator, journalist. Author of Alphabestiary: 26 Poems & Drawings for Easily Alarmed Children and the Adults Who Like to Alarm Them. I Ain’t Resisting, about the police homicide of Marcus Smith, will be published in 2023. In 2020, I won 1st place in investigative journalism from the North Carolina Press Association for reporting on the case.
