This constitutes an agreement on the date submitted between the BUYER (as named above and signed below) and the SELLER (Further Heights Rattery, located in Burnaby, BC) referred to as Further Heights. If the BUYER has supplied the name of another individual who is over the age of majority in their region, or intends to transfer the ownership and responsibilities of ownership to such a person now or in the future, the BUYER will take necessary measures as to ensure insure the other party is also informed of these conditions and will be conjoined together in the fulfillment of this agreement together as the BUYER.
Further Heights warrants that the animals sold will be as described, and will be free of the following defects for the stated period:
- Warrants that rats sold will be free of respiratory issues for 48 hours from sale. This warranty void if the rats are kept in a tank, poorly ventilated space, on cedar bedding, on only fleece, or no bedding at all.
- Warrants that rats sold will be free of lice, fleas or parasites for 14 days from sale. This warranty is void if the rats are immediately housed with other rats by the BUYER.
- Warrants all other health issues not caused by failure of the BUYER to provide adequate care for a period of 30 days.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Further Heights maximum liability for warranty or for ANY OTHER REASON PERMISSABLE BY LAW shall be LIMITED to the extent permitted by law to the original price paid for the rats sold. Further Heights may provide services to resolve the warrantied issue, may replace the rats sold with similar rats, or may refund the BUYER for their purchase price upon return of the rats sold at the sole discretion of Further Heights.
Further Heights will use the personal information provided to review the application, conduct the process of the sale, to maintain records to provide for the included warranty, to notify the BUYER of important information that would affect the health or care of their rats, and for breeder records for the confirmation of sale of rats. These records may be disclosed if legally required by a government agency or in situations where Further Heights feels the withholding of such information would cause harm to human or animal life.
Further Heights is a registered rattery with the American Fancy Rat and Mouse Association with the breeder identifier "FTHR". Ratteries may share information with each other from time to time, including personal information of adopters, in order to better provide their services and to ensure the health and saftey of breeders and animals.
BUYER agrees they have completed this form truthfully and to their best of their ability and knowledge, and agrees to inform Further Heights of any material changes to the information provided prior to a transaction occurring. Further Heights retains the right deny a transaction where incorrect information was provided or for any other reason.
