My dissertation, "Reassembling Art: Screws, Goldsmithing and the Making of Art in Early Modern Nuremberg," centers on securing screws, screw makers, and the screw making industry in early modern Nuremberg and seeks to excavate the process through which goldsmiths assembled their works of art with the use of screws.
