Author of Before Queer Theory: Victorian Aestheticism and the Self (Johns Hopkins, 2019) and co-editor of Rethinking the Nineteenth Century: The 1890s (Cambridge, forthcoming). 

Interested in Victorian aestheticism, Decadence, queer theory, and the history and theory of aesthetics. 

Currently writing about race, universalism, and alternative humanisms in nineteenth-century and contemporary Decadent writing.
