I want a mechanistic understanding of how the nervous system coordinates limb movements. To achieve this, I study adult #Drosophila.

PhD @ Harvard: EM & X-ray #connectomics of the fly's ventral nerve cord and legs to comprehensively map neurons and their synaptic connections. I run the #FANC community.

Postdoc @ EPFL: In vivo optical recordings of neural activity as flies perform a variety of different behaviors.
