Demography, epidemiology, and data science. I work on verbal autopsy as a tool to measure the burden of disease, mathematical models of human mortality, indirect estimates of child mortality, and small-area estimates of mortality. I coordinate the openVA Team doing research on verbal autopsy and developing software to implement new methods for verbal autopsy.
