About Jeffrey Reed

A feral linguist raised in the mountains of Montana.

I am a researcher for the Cry Wolf Project, a bioacoustics study of wolves in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, with degrees in computational linguistics and anthropology. Committed to measurable conservation, I work through business alliances and auditory projects to preserve rural and wild soundscapes and understand what they might be telling us, from elk bugles and chickadee alarms to the dialects of wolves and my dogs.
